Pack Contents: Harris Tweed, (Four pieces of tweed for frame, to attach when tapestry complete, and a small piece to use to hang the finished picture), Harris wool (3, 4 or 5 ply x7 colours), Tapestry needle size 18 (DCM), Tapestry Canvas, Diagram.  Sew diagonally.

Description: This micro-tapestry takes about 5 hours to complete, and is sewn with Harris Wool, the same wool the Islanders use to make An Clò Mòr, (the Big Cloth) Harris Tweed, and with pure Harris Tweed for the Frame.

This KIT makes a picture of the famous Stornoway Castle, where Lews Castle college and the Highlands and Islands University are based. This castle was built in the last century and is now surrounded by woodlands planted in imported soil, the castle overlooks the port town of Stornoway. This Kit is one of a selection of Harris Tweed Kits, inspired by the panoramic Hebridean Landscapes, Heritage and Community activities.
